OUTSTANDING FACULTY

KYM NASH-ARTISTIC DIRECTOR   Has performed with dance & theater companies in New York, Chicago & Connecticut. Her choreography has been seen in National TV Commercials for ABC & CBS, the stages of Trinity College, Albertus Magnus College, Miss Porter’s School,  St. Margaret McTernan & area regional theaters. She was selected to choreograph “The Tournament” which won the Andrew Lloyd Webber Award & her shows “In The Pink” & “Dorothy’s Return to Oz” won the Dorothy Mullins Arts & Humanities Award for the Northeast Region. She received the ultimate compliment from New York City Dance Alliance being awarded The Critic’s Choice Award for choreography numerous times along with other oustanding choreography awards.  Kym has choreographed & produced for Disney’s Radio Disney Tune Troup having opened for numerous concerts including Britney Spears. Her award winning Farmington Dance Companies have performed at Walt Disney World, Times Square, Broadway Cares/Dancers responding to AIDS, The Joyce Theatre NYC, NBC & in London UK. She is a Board Member for Farmington Valley Film, Member of CT Film Commission, inducted into the National Association of Professional Women as well as Cambridge Whose Who and a proud ambassador to HARTFORD STAGE.
JIMMY TATE - TAP - VOCALS Has been tapping since the age of 13. He first studied with Tony award winner Danny Daniels, and then with muti-Tony winner Henry LeTang. Jimmy's first appeared on Broadway playing the title role in "The Tap Dance Kid". After that he went on to appear in "Big River", "Jelly's Last Jam", "Bring in 'da Noise Bring in 'da Funk", and "Riverdance". On Broadway, Jimmy Has shared the stage with artists such as; Gregory Hines, Savion Glover, Ben Vereen, Phylicia Rashad, Ann Reinking, and three time Tony winner Hinton Battle.
Jimmy has been teaching tap for over 12 years, first starting at Broadway Dance Center. He then moved on to teach at, and run his own studio for six years. In addition, Jimmy has done workshops, master classes, and choreography for dozens of studios across the country.
Jimmy replaced Tony award winner Savion Glover in his tony-award winning lead role in Bring in 'da Noise Bring in 'da Funk. He has appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno three times, twice onThe Rosie O'Donnel Show and once on Late Night with David Letterman. Jimmy has also appeared on the Tony awards, Grammyawards, Drama Desk awards, Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, Kennedy Center Honors, and the 1997 Presidential Inauguration for former President Bill Clinton. 
Jimmy is also an accomplished singer/songwriter and guitarist. He wrote and produced his solo album "Play Me" in 2000.
Recently, Jimmy has been doing educational presentations, bringing tap and music closer to the lives of tens of thousands of young students. Jimmy's original show "Thunder" received great reviews at the 2007 NYC Fringe Festival, where he won he outstanding choreography award. Jimmy has also co-choreographed the Irish smash "Tapeire", featuring three time Irish dance champion James Devine. Tapeire just
finished a run at the New Victory Theater in NYC, with rave revives for choeography by The New York Times'Roslyn Sulcas.
PAM GLAUBER - BALLET - POINTE' - VARIATIONS began her dance career at age six at the School of the Hartford Ballet in Hartford, Connecticut. She later trained at Connecticut Dance School and Connecticut Ballet Center before joining the Connecticut Ballet as a company dancer, where she performed both corps and soloist roles. She has also trained with Kat Wildish at Alvin Ailey’s Extension Program, BalletMet Columbus, and Columbus Dance Theater, and enjoyed summer dance programs with Boston Ballet and the Walnut Hill School. As a professional dancer, she has performed with Connecticut Ballet; Ballet Theater Company; Ajkun Ballet Theatre in Albany, NY; Staten Island Ballet; Performing in New York showcases at Alvin Ailey; and Xclaim Dance Company in Columbus, Ohio, where she served as a company dancer and marketing manager for three years. She is also a prize-winning Irish dancer and has competed in the World Irish Dancing Championships. Pam holds degrees from Cornell University as well as NYU.
​​ MR ALEXEI TCHERNICHOV - BALLET - POINTE' - VARIATIONS Mr. Tchernichov is the third generation in his family to make his career in ballet as well as the third generation of his family to attend the Kirov Academy. His extensive teaching and coaching career over the past 27 years has provided his students with a thorough understanding of classical ballet. They have gone on to work in prestigious ballet companies all over the US and Europe, as well as to win competitions such as YAGP.

Mr. Tchernichov  He has also taught for the famous modern dance company Momix, and been a guest artist in residence at Skidmore College. He has many private students he is currently coaching, getting them ready for auditions and competitions.

He teaches all facets of classical ballet, including technique, point, repertoire and character dance. His knowledge of the classical ballet repertoire is extensive and includes The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, Giselle, Chopiniana (Les Sylphides), La Bayadere, Paquita, Raymonda, as well as others. With a strong influence of the Vaganova Method of teaching as well as years of  working with his mother, famous ballet mistress Elena Tchernichova, his style of teaching brings his students a stronger technical understanding and appreciation of classical ballet.
TIFFANY MARIE FEDDE - HIP HOP - LYRICAL - TAP is a graduate and class valedictorian of the Hartford Conservatory of Music and Dance, with a major in dance pedagogy and performance. While studying at the Conservatory, she had the opportunity to perform the “Duke Ellington Nutcracker” held at the Bushnell theater in Hartford CT, and was a featured dancer in the world premiere of “Kara” directed by Brian Simerson of Momix dance company. Following her education, Tiffany continued her professional training at Broadway Dance Center, Steps on Broadway, Peridance Center and the Dance Teacher Summit in New York City. In this time, she grew her marketable experience in traditional disciplines such as Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, HipHop and Contemporary. She was Assistant choreographer and principal dancer in “Farrinet Baranka” New York City, “Coppelia” and “The Nutcracker” Berkshire Foothills Dance Company and Simply Enfuego Elite Dance Company. She is currently a member Dance Masters of America and is a certified Zumba and Cardio Barre instructor. Throughout her career, Tiffany has enjoyed the opportunity to develop students of dance at all levels. She brings 15 years of studio teaching experience, with multiple national awards and other redentials in her continued dedication to the movement arts.

GUEST FACULTY

KAT WILDISH  is aNew York City master ballet and pointe technique teacher for students of all ages & levels, formerly on faculty at The Ailey Extension, she currently teaches at Pace University, Peridance Capezio Center and Ballet Arts.
She performed with New York City Ballet, American Ballet Theater, and numerous international companies including Zurich Ballet, Metropolitan Opera Ballet, and The Eglevsky Ballet (under artistic director Edward Villella).

   
AC Ciulla
EMMY Award winning, TONY nominated choreographer, AC Ciulla has enjoyed an eclectic career spanning a wide range of work in different creative arenas.
AC was nominated for the TONY Award for ‘Best Choreography’ for Broadway’s hit musical Footloose and has choreographed/directed numerous productions both nationally and abroad. 
Off-Broadway, AC choreographed and The Last Smoker In America at the Westside Theater and was nominated for the prestigious Joe A. Callaway Award for ‘Outstanding Choreography’ for his work on the production of Lucky Guy by Willard Beckham. He choreographed The Bubbly Black Girl Sheds Her Chameleon Skin starring LaChanze for Playwrights Horizons receiving a Lucille Lortel Award nomination for ‘Outstanding Choreography' and Ghetto Superstar starring Billy Porter and produced by George C. Wolf for the Public Theater.
AC choreographed the musical Chess: A Benefit Concert at the Ford Amphitheater in Los Angeles starring Matthew Morrison of Fox’s hit show Glee. Regional theater includes Steven Sondheim’s Being Alive at the Westport Country Playhouse, Barrio Babies starring Sara Ramirez at the Denver Theater Center, The Yiddish Coming at the Denver Civic Arts, The Plexiglass Slipper at Asolo Rep and The Little Mermaid at North Shore Music Theater.
Vices: A Love Story, a sophisticated exploration of relationships told through music and dance, garnered AC the 2010 Carbonell Award for Best Choreography.
Ciulla co-created and choreographed the smash hit Toni Braxton: Revealed for the Flamingo Las Vegas as well as the six-time Grammy Award winning recording artist’s celebrated 2006 Libra tour and live 2007 NBA All-Star performance. Other recording artists include live shows for Eden’s Crush featuring Nicole Scherzinger and videos for Freedom Williams of the dance sensation C&C Music Factory and TONY Award winning vocalist Billy Porter. As creative director/choreographer, AC created a live touring show for the vocal band Duwende.
Ciulla staged Signed Sealed Delivered-A Musical Celebration of Stevie Wonder at the Venetian in Las Vegas starring Chaka Khan, Peabo Bryson and Melissa Manchester. AC directed and choreographed the hit Broadway musical revue Nights on Broadway II & III for Caesar’s in Atlantic City featuring many of Broadway’s newest stars.
Film work includes choreography for Gray Matters starring Heather Graham, Bridget Moynahan, Tom Cavanaugh, Molly Shannon, Sissy Spacek and Alan Cumming as well as the film, Puppet starring Rebecca Gayheart.
Ciulla won the 2003 EMMY Award for “Outstanding Choreography of a Television Special” for his innovative work with Olympic figure skating champions for the world renowned Stars On Ice.
AC has appeared as a guest choreographer on So You Think You Can Dance (UA) for the past three seasons.
Other television credits include Starr X’d Lovers - a three day, DGA Award winning musical event on the ABC soap opera One Life To Live and numerous episodes of Sesame Workshop’s new version of The Electric Company (PBS) including the series’ opening credits. He choreographed the entire 2nd Season of Viva Variety as well as a video for comedian Jeffrey Ross on Comedy Central and several musical comedy bits for Late Night with David Letterman. AC made a surprise guest appearance and has also been a judge on Lifetime’s hit reality show Dance Moms.
He directed and choreographed the 1-800-OK-CABLE- Move To Triple Play'dance commercial and has choreographed countless spots including the famous dancing Intel commercials, Dr. Pepper featuring Travis Wall, AT&T, NY Lottery, Verizon Droid and the Busby Berkeley style musical E*TRADE spot which aired as one of the top five commercials during the Super Bowl.
As a performer, AC made his Broadway debut in Starlight Express at age 19. He was an eight time winner & semi-finalist on Star Search and toured as a featured soloist with the world renowned jazz dance company Waves. He toured the US with the dance sensation C&C Music Factory danced on the MTV Video Music Awards and had the honor of dancing along side of Michael Jackson.
